A prominent security company with focus on oil assets protection in the Niger Delta, Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited (TSSSNL), has congratulated the newly appointed 11-member Board and Management of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL).
Recall that President Bola Tinubu sacked the Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO), NNPCL, Mele Kyari, alongside the Board yesterday, replacing them with fresh faces with Kyari’s successor being Engr. Bashir Bayo Ojulari.
In a statement, Chairman of TSSNL, High Chief (Dr.) Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo, saluted Engr. Ojuolari, and the new Board Chairman, Ahmadu Musa Kida, along with other distinguished members of the Board and Management.
Tompolo, who is also known as the Ibe-Ebidouwei of Ijaw Nation, praised the selection of the new NNPCL leadership, describing it as a significant step in the transformation of the Nigerian oil and gas sector.
He commended President Tinubu for his visionary leadership and for assembling a team of seasoned professionals to steer the affairs of NNPCL this period.
“We express our profound gratitude to His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for his visionary leadership and commitment to excellence. His administration’s careful selection of competent professionals to lead NNPCL reflects a strong dedication to optimising the vast benefits of Nigeria’s oil and gas sector,” Tompolo stated.
Highlighting the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead for the new leadership, Tompolo expressed confidence in their ability to achieve President Tinubu’s mandate of ramping up local refining capacity and increasing Nigeria’s crude oil production to two million barrels per day (mbpd) within a short time.
TSSNL, which has built a strong presence in the region through its work in securing oil assets, reaffirmed its commitment to supporting NNPCL in safeguarding and enhancing Nigeria’s oil production capabilities.
“As a critical player in the security of Nigeria’s oil assets, we stand ready to collaborate and contribute to a more secure and prosperous energy sector.
“Our expertise in oil asset protection and our deep-rooted presence in the Niger Delta position us as a reliable ally in ensuring the nation’s resources are efficiently utilised for the collective benefit of all stakeholders,” Tompolo added.
The company also offered its unwavering support to the new leadership in fulfilling their mandate, urging them to remain focused, innovative, and diligent as they steer NNPCL towards a future of growth and efficiency.
