Few hours after President Bola Tinubu imposed a state of emergency in Rivers State, sacked Governor Siminalayi Fubara and appointed Vice Admiral Ibas as Rivers State Administrator, pictures of the Naval officer and the Minister ov the FCT Nyesom Wike, has surfaced online.
The pictures were likely taken when Wike was Rivers State Governor.
As a general in the Nigerian Navy, Ibas undertook several duty tours across the country, especially in the riverine states.
Wike has been a major player in the crisis that brought civil life to its knees. His main rival and one-time protégé Siminalayi Fubara is the biggest lover, along with elected members of the state assembly that have been at loggerheads with the governor.
