Uche Ekwunife Appointed DG South-East Governors Forum

Two months after she vacated her seat as Senator representing Anambra Central, Uche Ekwunife (Iyom) has been appointed the Director-General of the South-East Governors Forum (SEGOF). The Forum is the umbrella body of governors of the five states in Nigeria's South-East geopolitical zone, comprising Enugu, Anambra, Ebonyi, Imo and Abia States. The appointment was conveyed to her in a letter dated 31 July 2023, by the new Chairman of the Forum and Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma.
