‎Maharaj Ji Raises The Alarm, Says ‘Land Grabbers Have Returned To Take Our Village’

By Stephen Gbadamosi, Ibadan

Sat Guru Maharaj Ji has, again, cried out that some people, who have been plotting to take over the Maharaj Ji Village over the years, have returned with violence.

In a statement entitled ‘Fellow Nigerians, Land Grabbers are on Maharaj Ji Land Again’, made available to journalists in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, today, the religion icon said many legal tussles have ensued to stop the grabbers from coming to the land.

“We would like to inform the good people of Oyo State that the number of suspected land grabbers are growing daily, with the sudden occupation of our land along the Ibadan-Lagos Expressway, Ibadan precisely, within kilometer 10, Oluyole Local Government Area, today.

‎”They trooped into the land with armed soldiers and policemen to start working on the land, falsely thinking that we would confront them.

“If we had done so, they would take us to the police like they used to do before. They would collect bail money from us from the little ‘thank you’ monies the village gathered,” he stated.

He went down memory lane to explain the pains people living and worshipping in the village had suffered in the hands of land grabbers.

“It was through this arrest, detention and bailing yourself that my landlord, Papa Aladorin, was arrested, detained, and, poisoned in Agodi Prisons before being
‎discharged to die later. His release cost us about N5 million.

‎”This is besides the fact that past Oyo State governors, like the late Colonel Ike Nwosu and the late Chief Adebayo Alao-Akala, had declared the area to be a no-go-area for land grabbers (which can be found in the government ‎establishment).

“Of course, that is with the exception of their cronies in the Secretariat and Justice Ministry, who may have tampered with the records.

‎”We are the first children of the Creator on earth, and as The Pacesetter State, land grabbers, who are not different from terrorists, will be routed out, come what may, with those colluding with them and their families,” the statement read.

‎Maharaj Ji alleged that with the connivance of the police and other establishments,”Fulani businessmen,” who wish to use “our poor, porous, unintelligent and ‘odale’ middlemen to purchase the land by force to establish another opposition against the Light of Muharaj Ji, had been on the prowl.

He called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Seyin Makinde of Oyo State to come to the village’s aid and keep the “usurpers” at bay, saying “Maharaj Ji has refused all their efforts to buy him to surrender Oyo State to them.”
