There Won’t Be Religious Crisis In Ibadanland -Oba Ladoja

Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty Oba (Senator ) Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja (Arusa1), has assured that there will not be religious crisis in Ibadanland.

The assurance was given during a courtesy visit paid to him by the delegates from the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) at Olubadan Palace, Oke-Aremo, Ibadan, on Thursday, 23 October.

“There cannot be religious crisis in Ibadanland, as there is no family compound without the adherents of the various religions particularly Christianity, Islam and African Traditional Religion,” he said.

Ladoja added: “Any traditional ruler, including Olubadan of Ibadanland, is the father of all religions; and such a traditional ruler should preach harmony and religious tolerance among all religious faithful.”

The monarch appreciated the delegates for their visit, enjoining them not to relent in prayers for Ibadanland, Oyo State “and our dear country, Nigeria.”

Earlier in his speech, General Overseer (GO) of RCCG, Pastor Eunoch Adeboye, congratulated Oba Ladoja for being enthroned as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.

Speaking through Pastor Sola Adeyeye, a member of Board of Trustees of RCCG and National Coordinator of Royal Fathers’ Fellowship, Pastor Adeboye pledged the spiritual support for peace, harmony and success throughout the reign of Oba Ladoja.

The GO later prayed for the longevity of life for Olubadan, members of Olubadan-in-Council , Ibadanland, Oyo State and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Present at the occasion, apart from the RCCG delegates, were Oba Tajudeen Abimbola Ajibola, the Balogun of Ibadanland; Oba (Sir) Kolawole Adegbola, the Otun Balogun of Ibadanland; Oba John Olubunmi Isioye, Osi Balogun of Ibadanland; Oba Biodun Kola Daisi, the Osi Olubadan of Ibadanland-designate; Oba Salawudeen Amidu Ajibade, the Asipa Olubadan of Ibadanland-designate; Oba Akeem Mobolaji Adewoyin, the Ekerin Balogun of Ibadanland; and Oba Muritala Adebayo Akande, the Ekerin Olubadan of Ibadanland-designate.
