UK-based Nigerian, Basit Salam, Makes Waves In Creative Arts

Basit Salam, a talented young Nigerian artist and graduate of Graphic Arts from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Oyo State, is fast becoming a name to watch in the global arts scene.

Known for his ability to weave deep emotion and cultural identity into paintings, Salam uses his art to tell powerful stories about heritage, resilience, and community.

Through vibrant colours and expressive strokes, he celebrates African traditions and promotes Nigerian culture to audiences across the globe.

Though trained in graphic arts, Salam’s passion for painting has driven him to create works that transcend borders.

His paintings are not only visually captivating, but also emotionally resonant, reflecting the richness of African life and spirit.

He continues to make Nigeria proud by promoting the nation’s culture through his art, inspiring young creative artists, both home and abroad, to embrace their roots and express themselves boldly.

“Art is my language; it’s how I tell the world who we are,” Salam told journalists.
