Wave-making journalist and producer of the immensely popular Demsay Demsay News on rave broadcast station, Wazobia FM, Douglas Nnah, has been nominated for a prestigious award at the 6th National Entertainment and Peace Summit.
The event is scheduled for 24 October, 2025, at the China Cultural Centre, Abuja.
The nomination recognizes Nnah’s consistent commitment to using his media platforms to promote equity and justice, bridge the peace gap, and advocate for transparency, accountability, and fairness in governance at both national and sub-national levels.
Reacting to the development, Nnah expressed gratitude to God, all listeners of Wazobia FM, particularly Demsay Demsay News, and colleagues at Wazobia FM, saying: “This recognition reaffirms that journalism can be a strong instrument for peace and transformation. I dedicate this to every Nigerian who believes in a just, fair, and united
country.”
He commended the organizers of the programme and Convener of Drum Majors for Peace, Amb. Paul Nsikan, and the management of China Cultural Centre, for the award nomination, adding that this will spur him to even work harder in accordance with the ethics of the journalism profession.
Over the years, Demsay Demsay News has built a reputation for telling human-centered stories and influencing positive change, earning it a place among Nigeria’s most impactful late-night radio programmes.
