AA Candidate Praises FCT Minister Wike for Unprecedented Road Infrastructure

The Action Alliance Chairmanship candidate for Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) in the forthcoming Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Area Council elections, Godson Nemieboka, has publicly commended the Minister of FCT, Barrister Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, for what he described as an “unprecedented drive” in road infrastructure, following the recent flag-off of another round of critical projects across the capital.

Nemieboka’s commendation highlights the growing political acknowledgment of the Minister’s aggressive development agenda.

The endorsement centers on the recent flag-off of construction of the Northern Parkway (Shehu Yar’Adua Way) from Ring Road II to Ring Road III in Abuja, the nation’s capital.

The project, alongside the access roads to the Renewed Hope City in Karsana District and the vital N2 Transit Way linking Wuse to the Central Area, was cited as evidence of a strategic focus.

“The Minister’s consistent assertion that ‘no city can be said to be a city without a good network of roads’ is not merely a statement but a guiding principle being actualized across the territory,” Nemieboka stated.

The AA candidate emphasized that the projects transcend mere asphalt and concrete, arguing they are pivotal for catalyzing broader development and attracting investments.

He noted the direct benefits for residents, including eased traffic congestion, enhanced security from street lighting, and the opening of new areas for residential and commercial growth.

“We are particularly encouraged by the direct impact these roads will have on local farmers, enabling them to easily transport their produce to markets,” he added, connecting the infrastructure push to grassroots economic improvement.

Expressing full support for the vision, Nemieboka urged the FCT Administration to maintain its remarkable momentum.
