The application for no-case submission filed by leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, will be determined by the Federal High Court (FHC) Abuja on Friday, September 26, 2025.
The matter is between the detained IPOB leader and the Federal Government (FG). Justice James Omotosho is handling the case.
The court moved the date of ruling backwards by about 15 days from the earlier fixed date of October 10, 2025.
No reason was given for the shift.
One of Kanu’s lawyers, Aloy Ejimakor, made this known in a post on his X handle today.
“The scheduled ruling on Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s no-case submission has been abridged from 10th October 2025 to Friday, 26th September 2025,” he wrote.
The IPOB leader is currently facing trial for terrorism on account of his activities for the actualization of an independent Republic of Biafra.
A court notification about the slated September 26 hearing stated that if either party desires to postpone the hearing, they must apply to the court as soon as possible for such, stressing that such application, if based on any matter of fact, must be backed up with proof of facts.
