Ganduje To Yilwatda: You’ll Do Well As APC National Chair

As substantive National Chairman of ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, assumed office today, his immediate predecessor, Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje, has thumbed up the appointment.

According to Ganduje, Yilwatda will perform well, though he is taking office at a critical time, describing his accession to the position, however, as strategic.

In a statement he personally signed, which contained these, Ganduje added that he has confidence in Yilwatda’s ability to lead APC forward.

The new Chairman became the party’s top official during APC’s National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting in Abuja, the country’s capital, on Thursday, July 24.

Ganduje, a former governor of Kano State, hailed the several qualities of his successor, pointing out that Yilwatda posseses “capacity, intellect, maturity, and administrative competence.”

He stated: “I have no doubt that Prof Yilwatda will move our party forward. His emergence at this critical time is a strategic development for the APC.”

Praising President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima for their maturity in leading the party, Ganduje noted that again they had not failed to deliver.

“Our president and vice-president have once again shown leadership in guiding the affairs of our great party,” he noted.
