Senator Orji Kalu and Senator Ben Murray-Bruce have sent messages of condolences to the family of late former agriculture minister Audu Ogbeh.
In separate messages on Saturday, they said the former PDP national Chairman was a man of integrity, a gentleman and an exceptional leader.
In his message, Senator Orji Kalu mourned the elder statesman, and described Ogbe as a man of “uncommon wisdom, humility, and integrity.” by Senator Orji Uzor Kalu,
In a heartfelt condolence message issued on Saturday, Senator Kalu, who represents Abia North Senatorial District, expressed deep sorrow over the loss of Ogbeh, whom he hailed as a true patriot with an unmatched passion for national development, particularly in the agriculture and rural development sectors.
Former Bayelsa Senator, Ben Murray-Bruce, in a Facebook post wrote that he was “saddened by the passing of Chief Audu Ogbeh, a patriot who served Nigeria with distinction as Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development and as National Chairman of the PDP.”
He said his thoughts and prayers are with his family on the big loss. “May his soul rest in peace.”
Audu Ogbe died on Saturday after a short period of illness. He was aged 78.
Just last year, he had lost his daughter, Mrs Odema Akerele.
The lady was said to have passed on at the age of 41.
