Taraba State House of Assembly member, Hon. Nelson Len, representing Nguroje state constituency of Sardauna Local Government Area (LGA), has empowered his constituents with items ranging from motorcycles, grinding mills, generators, sewing machine units, clippers, chainsaws, and cash.
The lawmaker who spoke to Peopleandpolitics.net on the telephone, described the gesture as “empowerment phase impact on my constituency.”
According to him, the gesture was aimed at alleviating the suffering of his people,make them self reliant and enable beneficiaries earn a living.
He said that he was accompanied to the venue of the event by the Sardauna LGA Chairman, Hon. Mohammed Umar, the Police Area Commander, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chapter Chairman, Councillors and critical stakeholders from the constituency.
Len said: “Today, to the glory of God, I was accompanied by my LG Chairman, Hon. Mohammed Umar, Area Commander, DPO, PDP (party) Divisional Chairman, Councillors and stakeholders, where I empowered some of my constituents.
“Some went home with bikes, grinding mills, generators, sewing machines, clippers, chainsaws, and cash.”
The legislator added that he was motivated to empower his constituents with the items to help them earn a living that will, in turn, transform their lives for the better.
“I’m aware that it may not go all around, but I’m also aware that it can change a fortune in others’ lives.
“As I hope to continue serving the good people of Nguroje constituency, I’m committed to the betterment of their lives and peaceful coexistence”, said the lawmaker.
Hon. Len further pledged to continue to render meaningful representation to Nguroje people in a way that would afford them the opportunity to make progress in life.
He lauded the state governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas, for his support, describing him as his boss.
Congratulating the beneficiaries, Hon. Len urged them to make judicious use of the items, rallying the people to support Gov. Kefas’ agenda of moving Taraba forward even as Nguroje constituency also progresses.
