Five days after his six-month suspension from office as governor and declaration of emergency rule in his state by President Bola Tinubu, Sim Fubara showed up at a church service in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, today, March 23.
He was spotted at a service at Salvation Ministries founded by Pastor David Ibiyeomie.
It is believed Fubara often worships at the church.
His public reappearance banished rumours that he was being held by the federal authorities or the military against his will, after his removal from office as governor of the oil-rich South-South state.
Arriving for the church service, Fubara was reportedly warmly welcomed by a leading cleric.
Stripped of his official entourage and other security attachments, Fubara arrived simply like any other ordinary Nigerian would.
